Next thing I know an employee is hanging up a sign that reads “Please order your food BEFORE sitting down.” (Caps and all) While the rude customer carries on.
I have eaten here many times. I always get a BLT, which comes with chips and pickle spear. It is always outstanding. The last time I was there I got the usual. This is the first time I have been disappointed in my food. Bottom half of my bun was burned and top half was not toasted at all. The bacon was too crispy. And there was no pickle on my plate. I went up and ask for a pickle and was told they were running low on them and were only giving the pickles upon request. I don't like to make a big fuss over such little things. Hoping this day was a fluke and it won't be like that again. I will return.
Another customer in line starts pointing and ranting about my family (5 of us) taking up a four top table before we ordered. There were a couple of other empty tables. Her food was not ready yet.
Love the quiche. The sandwiches are delicious too. This is a local favorite for my husband and I to make a quick get away for civilized atmosphere and delicious food in a non-pretentious charming setting.
Stopped in for lunch with my family and had an appalling experience. There was a long 10+ person line to order food and I have three small children. One is diabetic and needed a blood sugar check prior to eating. I sat down with the children and sent my husband to order food.
We got up and left. Employees should have explained there is limited seating and tried to calm that crazy person down rather than allow her to drive us out of the restaurant. And the obnoxious sign was really beyond the pale.
wonderful and friendly service! the sandwiches are delicious, generous portions with a super crisp pickle spear! Today I had the quiche of the day: spinach-feta cheese-sun dried tomatoes and it was fantastic! The crust baked to perfection and the filling was scrumptious. This place is great for a casual lunch with friends or a book! Next time I'll try the chocolate pie.
I will never eat here again. Sad, because the food is good.
