Got a beautiful birthday arrangement today. Highly satisfied.
I ordered flowers from them for my parents' 50th Anniversary. When I picked them up, they were not what I had asked for. The flowers in the arrangements were mostly the wrong colors and half of them were either missing most of their petals or were dead. This work was completely unacceptable! When I called to express my dissatisfaction, the owner absolutely did not care that she had given me terrible flower arrangements. We had to go and buy new flowers to replace the majority of their work. I will not be purchasing flowers from this establishment again and I encourage you to take your business elsewhere, unless you are looking for wrong colored flower arrangements that are mostly full of dead flowers!
I live out of state. I ordered a gorgeous fall centerpiece to be delivered to a loved one for a birthday present. The arrangement I ordered was full of roses, Asiatic Lillies, Princess Lillies, and Button Mums. A picture of what I wanted was posted on their website. (Pictured left below) When I placed the order, I specifically requested that I wanted the arrangement to look exactly like the one on their website. The individual taking my order, typed my request into the order form. However, the arrangement that was delivered looked nothing like what I ordered. It had an odd color assortment of carnations, painted daises and floral filler. (Pictured right below) When I called Debbie, the owner, to express my disappointment, she stated that she had made the arrangement herself and couldn’t understand why I didn’t like it. When I explained that I had made a specific request, she pulled the order and discovered she had missed my request on the order form. She asked me what she could do to make it right. I told her I wanted a refund to my credit card. She offered to send something back out to the home, or she could give me a 25% discount. The discount was an insult. She would have been out more than $10 if she sent something comparable but she thought $10 reasonable. This made no sense to me. I refused to take either. For me, it was a matter of the principle. Words say one thing, her attitude and tone of voice expressed another. Yes, I could have taken what she offered, but that wouldn’t make up for the poor quality of the arrangement delivered to my loved one. So I told her “No thank you. I will just find another florist for all my future business.” And I will! I am not expecting preferential treatment, but a 25% discount doesn’t make up for the years we have patronized this florist. We have a long standing relationship with The Posy Shop. We have been married 30 years. Previous owners, Paul and Susan Onks, arranged the flowers for our wedding. For 30 years we have supported this business. That support ends today.
I was actually unhappy with the arrangement I sent for a funeral. I typically order from another florist and have been known to just order a medium size peace lily. Usually it is of decent size and I pay around $45 with delivery. I decided to try the Posy Shop in gray because it was right next door to the funeral home. When we arrived we were so surprised at how small the arrangement was for the $50 I paid. Just out of curiosity I stopped by at lunch today at another local florist to see what the $50 would have gotten me with delivery and most similar arrangements for $50 were larger. Price aside for the size of the plant, the arrangement itself was beautiful.
I came on the website to post about the beautiful flowers I received recently and was surprised to read the post from Mr. Harris. I have found the Posy Shop to be excellent in their work. I have been a customer for many years and have given and received many arrangements from family and friends coming through the shop. I have found the owner and staff to be professional when taking and delivering orders. I will continue to use the Posy Shop for all my floral needs.
